Lee then moved on to nationally acclaimed bands Clancy and The Budgie Coleman Band as Lead Guitarist, touring the country, playing Theatres, Clubs and Festivals and backing names such as Billie Jo Spears, Slim Whitman and Daniel O’Donnell.
During this time Lee became a sought after session Lead Guitarist and studio producer for many bands. It was around this time that Lee first met and worked with Adam Knight, he had also crossed paths with Dave Garner when he was the keyboard player for Carl Denver.
In 1988 he turned professional with duo ‘Double Option’ changing music styles to rock, pop and standards. Their first job was a 12 day tour of the North East Pubs and Social Clubs, which Lee now considers as one of his best learning curves.
In 1998 Lee started performing as a “Duelling Piano Player” and Vocalist at Luminar/Rank Leisures ‘Jumpin Jaks’ Night Clubs. During his 10 years as a Duelling Pianist he had the pleasure entertaining audiences of 800+ and supporting many named acts such as, Spandau Ballet, Liberty X, Jason Donovan, Chesney Hawkes, Alexander O’Neal, Danni Minogue and Peter Andre.
